Words cannot begin to describe the wonderful experiences we had at Cocos. From day one we had already decided we WILL be back! The staff was incredibly kind to us throughout our stay, especially the bartender, Mario. He was awesome and taught us some Jamaican words each night! He also made delicious drinks and was great at making drinks that matched the vibe we were feeling. During our stay we did a few things that were super easy to book through the front desk, as well as some we booked online in advance (with the help of Cocos customer service which is incredible!). The Wadadli catamaran tour was awesome, but definitely take some dramamine if you get seasick; that Atlantic crossover is no joke! We booked a couples massage that was so relaxing and really helped after being on a boat all day beforehand! The cooking class with Chef Fay (who works MAGIC in the kitchen) was also so fun and informative! They also have a live performance each night at the main building and everyone was great and really got the guests hyped up! The food here is on another level. We thoroughly enjoyed everything we had but in particular I have to call out the spinach & cheese ravioli, fried snapper, chicken spring rolls, conch fritters, tomato & vegetable soup, pumpkin cheesecake, pistachio ice cream, and mushroom risotto! I genuinely cannot name anything we didn't enjoy, everything was well prepared and flavorful! And definitely check out the hot dogs at the beach grill, they hit the spot every time! As for the time of year, we went during July (off season) and had no issues with weather or bugs, we didn't have to use the provided bug spray once. The rooms are lovely! They are a great size and from what I could tell they all had gorgeous views, but in Antigua a bad view is hard to find! We opted for a bay view cottage with a plunge pool. The pool was perfect for a nice night dip and overlooks the beautiful beachfront! The wifi was spotty at times, but for the most part we had no issues. It is a hillier resort so it may not be the best spot for those with issues getting around, but I imagine the customer service would try their best to get you a room located close to the restaurant/bottom of the hills. Overall, our trip was 100% perfect and better than we could have imagined. We met so many great people, especially repeat guests who all swear by this resort! Cocos, we will be back!
Unbelievable views. We stayed in a sunset view plunge pool room. The suites are a little rustic compared to some luxury resorts, but I felt it just added to the charm of the place. If you're looking for a perfect place to unplug and reconnect with your spouse this is your place. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food overall was quite good. Great plate presentation. Some meals were better than others but we didn't have anything there that we disappointed in. The only 'downside' is that the walkways to the suites and between beaches is quite steep. It wasn't a problem for us but if you struggle with hills I would call and request a room near the restaurant.
My husband and I vacationed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect! We truly could not have asked for a better place! We booked a sunset pool cottage. The view from our pool was amazing and the room was great. We loved the large deck and plunge pool, the outdoor showers were a really cool addition, and the AC worked great. Everyone was so nice there and the food was absolutely amazing! My husband is a little bit of a picky eater, but we both loved every meal that we ate there. It is definitely more of a quiet, romantic resort- but they do have bands/entertainment each night. There were also 2 beach areas that were very good- beautiful blue water, we snorkeled right from the resort. We did not think that the bugs were bad, the only time we noticed it was after it rained which is to be expected. The resort is very unique and does have more hills/stairs/cobblestone than others, but that is what makes the views even better. We did one excursion- the Wadadli Cats island tour, which was cool to see the entire island. Overall, would 1000% recommend this place!
This was an absolute paradise! Resort is located between two beautiful beaches. If you like long walk, it is for you. Resort is covered in lush and greenery. The cottages are big and comfortable. We had huge desk and beautiful pool overlooking the ocean. But the most beautiful was outdoor showers overlooking the ocean. It was absolutely gorgeous and relaxing! The food was tasty and good variety. All à la carts. The staff is extremely friendly. The whole atmosphere was relaxing, restful and enjoyable. Highly recommend for couples looking for serenity and relaxation. Not for parties, big groups and people who can handle a small hill walk.
